Pounding ဆိုတာ ကပ္လ်က္အေဆာက္အဦႏွစ္ခု ဒါမွမဟုတ္ အေဆာက္အဦတစ္ခုတည္းရဲ႕ မတူညီတဲ့ အစိတ္အပိုင္းႏွစ္ခု ငလ်င္လိုမ်ိဳး ျပင္းထန္တဲ့လွဳပ္ရွားမႈေတြေၾကာင့္ ေဘးတိုက္ေရြ႕လ်ားမႈေတြရွိတဲ့အခါမွာ လံုေလာက္တဲ့ ျခားထားတဲ့အကြာအေ၀း (Separation Distance) မရွိတဲ့အခါ တိုက္မိၾကတာကို Pounding လို႔ေျပာတာပါ။




Structure တစ္ခုရဲ႕ Mass နဲ႔ Rigidity က Seismic Behavior ကို သက္ေရာက္မႈရွိပါတယ္။
ငလ်င္လွဳပ္တဲ့အခါ အေဆာက္အဦတစ္ခုနဲ႔ တစ္ခု ငလ်င္ေၾကာင့္ျဖစ္တဲ့ Seismic Behavior မတူညီႏိုင္ပါဘူး။
ဆိုလိုတာက Structure (၂) ခုဟာ ငလ်င္ေၾကာင့္ ေဘးတိုက္ေရြ႕တဲ့အခါ ဘယ္ညာ ၿပိဳင္တူ ညိမ္းခ်င္မွ ညိမ္းမွာပါ။
အဲဒီအခါမ်ိဳးမွာ ေဘးတုိက္ တိုက္မိ ( Pounding ) ႏုိင္ပါတယ္။



ကပ္လ်က္ Structure (၂) ခုရဲ႕ Floor Level ေတြက တစ္ခုနဲ႔တစ္ခု မတူညီႏိုင္ပါဘူး။
ဒါေၾကာင့္ မတူညီတဲ့ level တိုင္းမွာ တိုက္ႏိုင္ပါတယ္။
ပံုမွာ Floor level မွာ တိုက္တဲ႔ပံု၊ Floor Height ရဲ႕ အလယ္မွာ တိုက္တဲ့ပံု၊ Floor Height ရဲ႕ (၁/၃)မွာ တိုက္တဲ့ပံု နဲ႔ Floor Height ရဲ႕ (၂/၃)မွာ တိုက္တဲ့ပံု ဆိုၿပီးျပထားပါတယ္။
အဲဒီမွာမွ Floor Height ရဲ႕ အလယ္မွာ တိုက္မိတဲ့ case ကေတာ့ အဆိုး၀ါးဆံုးျဖစ္ပါတယ္။




အဲဒီလို ငလ်င္ (Seismic) ေၾကာင့္ ေဘးတိုက္တိုက္မိတာေတြ မျဖစ္ေအာင္ ခြာထားဖို႔လိုအပ္တဲ့ အကြာအေ၀း (Separation Distance for Pounding) ကို
Regulations ေတြအေနနဲ႔ (Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Taiwan and the USA) တို႔လို ႏိုင္ငံအမ်ားအျပားက ထုတ္ျပန္ထားပါတယ္။
အဲဒီခြာထားဖို႔လိုအပ္တဲ့ အကြာအေ၀း (Separation Distance for Pounding) ကေတာ့ တႏိုင္ငံနဲ႔ တႏိုင္ငံ ထုတ္ျပန္ထားတာ မတူၾကပါဘူး။
မတူညီတဲ့ ႏိုင္ငံေတြရဲ႕ Code သက္မွတ္ခ်က္က Separation Distance ကို Table မွာ ေဖာ္ျပထားပါတယ္။




ဥပမာတစ္ခုအေနနဲ႔ UBC Code နဲ႔ တြက္ခ်က္ၾကည့္ပါမယ္။
ပံုမွာ ျပထားတဲ့ အတိုင္း အေဆာက္အဦႏွစ္ခုက ေဘးတိုက္ရွိေနပါတယ္။
နိမ့္တဲံ အေဆာက္အဦရဲ႕ ငလ်င္လွဳပ္တဲ့အခါရွိမယ့္ ေဘးတိုက္အေရြ႕က ၃" ရွိၿပီး ျမင့္တဲ့အေဆာက္အဦရဲ႕ နိမ့္တဲ့အေဆာက္အဦနဲ႔ level တူမွာရွိမဲ့ ေဘးတိုက္အေရြ႕က ၄" ရွိတယ္လို႔ (Structure တြက္ခ်က္မႈမွတဆင့္) သိရပါတယ္။
UBC 97, IBC 2000 က Separation Distance ကို "S = √ (ΔM1 ^2 + ΔM2 ^2 )" လို႔ ေပးထားပါတယ္။ Equation မွာ အစားထိုးတြက္ခ်က္ေတာ့ Seismic ေၾကာင့္ Pounding မျဖစ္ေအာင္ Separation Distance ၅" ရွိရမယ္လို႔ ရပါတယ္။
Separation Distance ကို ေဘးတိုက္အေရြ႕(Lateral Displacement, Drift) ကတဆင့္ ရွာတာပါ။
ေဘးတိုက္အေရြ႕သိဖို႔ Structure တြက္ခ်က္မႈေတြ မလြယ္တဲ့အခါမွာ Separation Distance ကို ခန္႔မွန္းႏိုင္ဖို႔ (Construction Engineer) အတြက္
ASCE7-05 မွာ Separation Distance ကို Story Height ရဲ႕ ၁% ယူဖို႔ ေျပာထားတာေတာ့ ေတြ႔မိပါတယ္။

12.14.8.5 Drift Limits and Building Separation. Structural
drift need not be calculated. Where a drift value is needed for use
in material standards, to determine structural separations between
buildings, for design of cladding, or for other design requirements,
it shall be taken as 1 percent of building height unless computed
to be less. All portions of the structure shall be designed to act as
an integral unit in resisting seismic forces unless separated structurally
by a distance sufficient to avoid damaging contact under
the total deflection.

Prestressed concrete ျဖစ္ဖို႔ concrete member ကို prestress force သက္ေရာက္ေပးရပါတယ္။ အဲလိုသက္ေရာက္ဖို႔ နည္းႏွစ္နည္းရွိပါတယ္။

(Prestress သက္ေရာက္တယ္ဆိုတာ Tension ျဖစ္မယ့္ေနရာမွာ ႀကိဳၿပီး compression ေပးထားတာပါ။ ဒါမွ Tesion ေပၚလာရင္ Tensile stress ေတြ ေၾကေအာင္ ဒါမွမဟုတ္ ေလ်ာ့နည္းေအာင္လုပ္ႏိုင္မွာပါ။)
ပထမနည္းက Pretensioning လို႔ေခၚပါတယ္။ Concrete မေလာင္းခင္ Steel ကို ႀကိဳတင္ tension (ဆြဲဆန္႔) ေပးထားတာပါ။ ေလာင္းၿပီးလိုခ်င္တဲ့အတိုင္းအတာ တစ္ခုေရာက္မွ tension ေပးထားတာကေန ျပန္လႊတ္ေပးပါတယ္။
ဒုတိယနည္းက Post-tensioning လို႔ေခၚပါတယ္။ Concrete ေလာင္းမယ့္အထဲ Steel ေခ်ာင္းေတြ ထည့္ထားၿပီး Concrete ေလာင္းၿပီးမွ အဲဒီ Steel ေတြကို tension ေပးတာပါ။

Precast concrete ဆိုတာကေတာ့ Cast in place (ေနရာတင္) မေလာင္းဘဲ ႀကိဳေလာင္းၿပီးမွ member ကို install လုပ္ရတာပါ။
Prestress ကို cast in place လည္းေလာင္းလို႔ရသလို precast လည္းရပါတယ္။
တံတားေတြမွာေတာ့ prestressed ကို precast လုပ္ၾကေတာ့ prestressed တိုင္း precast လုပ္ၾကတယ္ထင္ပံုရပါတယ္။
