Footing နဲ႕ Foundation ဆိုတာကို
အတူတူထင္ ေနၾကပါတယ္ . . ဒါက
Site ထဲမွာ Footing ေလာင္းတ့ဲအခါ
Foundation ခ်မွာလို႕ေျပာတတ္တ့ဲ
အ ေလ့အထတစ္ခုေၾကာင့္ ထင္ ပါတယ္

တကယ္ Technically အရ ဆိုရင္
Footing နဲ႕ Foundation က မတူပါဘူး

အ ေပၚယံ အလြယ္ေျပာ ရ ရင္ ေတာ့
Ground Level ေအာက္ ပိုင္းမွာပါတ့ဲ
Member အားလံုး Foundation ပါ
(e.g., Basement, Retaining Wall)

Foundation

The lowest division of a building
or other construction, partly or
wholly below the surface of the ground,

Footing ဆိုတာက foundation ဆိုတ့ဲ
ေခါင္းစဥ္ရဲ႕အစိတ္အပိုင္းေလးတစ္ခုပါ
အရင္ ေခတ္က စာအုပ္ေတြမွာဆိုရင္
Simple Column Baseလို႕ေခၚတယ္
သူက Column ရဲ႕ေအာက္မွာ ရွိျပီး
Column ကထမ္းလာသမွ် Building
Loads ေတြကို Resist လုပ္ေပးတယ္

Footing

The part of a foundation bearing

Natural Footings ဆိုတာက Soil.
လူေတြလုပ္ ယူထားတာ မဟုတ္ဘူး
သူ႕ဟာသူ သဘာဝအတိုင္းရွိေနတာ
သူကလဲ Building Loads ေတြကို
ဘယ္သူ႕မွမခိုင္းပဲ ထမ္းေပးတယ္ေလ
Soil က အမ်ိဳးမ်ိဳးေတာ့ျဖစ္ႏိုင္ တယ္
Sandy Soil/ Cohesive Soil/ Rock
စသျဖင့္ (ဒါက Geotechnical ပိုင္း)
အမ်ိဳးအစားေပၚမူတည္ျပီး 0.5 tsf to
10 tsf Bearing capacity ရွိႏိုင္ တယ္

Artificial Footings ဆိုတာက
Man-made လူေတြဖန္တီးယူထားတာ
Footing/Pile caps စသျဖင့္ ေပါ့
(square ျဖစ္ျဖစ္ . . ဘာျဖစ္ျဖစ္)

အ့ဲလိုပဲ Foundation လဲ ႏွစ္မ်ိဳးရွိတယ္
(1) Shallow Foundation
(2) Deep Foundation
တိမ္ ရင္ Shallow နက္ ရင္ Deep
Limitation က ၂ မ်ိဳးဖတ္ဖူးတယ္
BE တန္းတုန္း Foundation မွာ 1 နဲ႕
ခြဲျခားတယ္ . . ေအာက္မွာျပထားသလို

Shallow Foundation

A foundation system placed directly
below the lowest part of a sub-structure and transferring building loads directly to the
supporting soil by vertical pressure.

D/B < 1.5 (Shallow Foundation)

Deep Foundation

A foundation system that extends down through unstable soil to transfer buildings load to a more appropriate bearing stratum well below the superstructure.

D/B > 1.5 (Deep Foundation)
