Dowel & Tie Bars in Concrete Pavement Joints
Dowel Bars ေတြကို ကြန္ကရစ္လမ္းရဲ႕ ကန္႔လန္႔ျဖတ္ (Transverse Joints) တေလ်ာက္ Slab ရဲ႕ အလယ္ (mid-depth) မွာထည့္ရပါတယ္။
ထည့္ရတဲ့ ရည္ရြယ္ခ်က္က Slab တကြက္နဲ႔ တကြက္ load transfer လုပ္ဖို႔ပါ။ Movement ကိုေတာ့ မခ်ဳပ္ထားပါဘူး။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ ေခ်ာမြတ္တဲ့သံလံုး (သို႔) Epoxy သုတ္ထားတဲ့ သံလံုး (round, smooth, epoxy coated steel bars)ကို သံုးရပါတယ္။
Dowel Bars ရဲ႕ Diameter ကိုေတာ့ Germany ကေတာ့ 25mm လို႔ သတ္မွတ္ၿပီး USA ကေတာ့ Concrete thickness 200mm ေအာက္ကို 25mm, 200-250mm ကို 32 mm နဲ႔ 250 mm အထက္ကိုေတာ့ 38mm လို႔ သတ္မွတ္ထားပါတယ္။
Dowel length ကေတာ့ Germany က 500 mm နဲ႔ USA က 450 mm လို႔ သတ္မွတ္ထားပါတယ္။
Dowel Spacing ကိုေတာ့ Germany က ဘီးလမ္းေၾကာင္း (Wheel Path) မွာ 250mm ျခားနဲ႔ အဲ့အျပင္ကိုေတာ့ 500mm ျခားလို႔ ေျပာပါတယ္။ USA ကေတာ့ 300mm နဲ႔ Non-uniform လို႔ ေပးပါတယ္။
Tie Bars ေတြကိုေတာ့ ကြန္ကရစ္လမ္းရဲ႕ အလ်ားလိုက္ (Longitudinal Joints) တေလ်ာက္ Slab ရဲ႕ အလယ္ (mid-depth) မွာထည့္ရပါတယ္။
ထည့္ရတဲ့ ရည္ရြယ္ခ်က္က လမ္း lane တစ္ lane နဲ႔ lane တစ္ lane ကြာမသြားေအာင္ ေနာက္ အနိမ့္ အျမင့္ (Differential Settlement) မျဖစ္ရေအာင္ပါ။ Load Transfer လုပ္ဖို႔ထည့္တာ မဟုတ္ပါဘူး။ သူကိုေတာ့ Deformed Bars သံုးရပါတယ္။
Tie Bar ရဲ႕ Diameter ကိုေတာ့ Germany ကေတာ့ 20mm နဲ႔ USA က 12.5mm နဲ႔ 16mm လို႔ ေျပာပါတယ္။
Tie Bar Spacing ကေတာ့ Germany က Construction Joint အတြက္ကို slab တစ္ကြက္အတြက္ 5 ေခ်ာင္းနဲ႔ Contraction Joint အတြက္ကိုေတာ့ 3 ေခ်ာင္းလို႔ ေျပာပါတ.္။ USA ကေတာ့ Bar Dia 12.5 နဲ႔ 16mm အတြက္ကို တမ်ိဳးစီ Table နဲ႔ ေပးပါတယ္။
